This beautiful impressionist landscape was inspired by memories of summer holidays visiting the south of France in late summer. The days are warm, the earth is warm and the grapes are ripening on the vines. The view across the the vineyard to the mountains in the distance seems to go on for ever . This work presented many
challenges as I wasn't sure how I was going to approach the subject. I am pleased with the result a i feel it captures the image that i wanted to create.
The work was created on canvas size 50x70cm with lots of heavy body paint applied with a palette knife giving the painting texture .It is signed on the front sold unframed( colour extends around the edge of the canvas}and ready to hang.
