This probably is one of my most favourite paintings, Westgate gardens in Canterbury where the River Stour runs through the beautiful park and the willows are stunning. In summer the punts glide up and down the river it’s a beautiful place and has been inspiration for much of my work.
This is a large painting 100cmsx100cms it was a real challenge to create, I wanted to bring the painting to life with lots of texture and depth and had to take weeks working on the willows until I felt I had achieved the desired effect. as with all of my artwork I use only a palette knife to apply the paint and create texture the work is unframed it is signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authentication
