Hortensia Rose was inspired by my beautiful black stemmed Hydrangea; This is a plant I fell in love with. I am enchanted by the contrast Its dark arched stems and the wonderful showy pink blooms. The challenge of painting is to capture the beauty and essence of the subject to try and replicate that which moves you and I hope I have done this beauty justice.
